Youssoufa HALIDOU HAROUNA is a Doctor of Art (Cinema and Audiovisual), Bachelor in Journalism (Print Media), Academic and TV Producer.

He is the founding President of the Nigerien Association of Film Clubs and Film Critics (ANCCCC), the Independent Center for Research in Film and Audiovisual and is a teacher in several institutes and universities in Niger.

He works in the fields of journalism, audiovisual, image semiology, film analysis, aesthetics and artistic expression, production-directing and communication and multimedia.

Authors of several scientific and journalistic articles on cinemas and audiovisual. His areas of research revolve around cinemas and media in Africa. He hosts a TV show on the cinematographic heritage of Niger and General Manager of Toukountchi Festival de Cinéma du Niger which will see its 7th edition in November 2022 in Niamey.
