Biography
After studying theater at the Florent Theater School, Steve Suissa began his career as an actor in 1990. He performed in over a dozen plays and in several films, including "New Wave" (1990) by Jean-Luc Godard, "Nine Months" (1993) and "Amour et confusions" (1996) by Patrick Braoudé, and "Serial Lover" (1997) by James Huth. In 2000, he co-wrote (with Marc Esposito) and directed his first feature, "Taking Wing." Clément Sibony played the lead in this essentially autobiographical film. Suissa cast numerous movie actors as well as those with a background in theater to fill the other roles, including Isabelle Carré, Bernard Fresson, Francis Huster, Isabelle Nanty, Corinne Dacla and Olivier Sitruck.
