Born in 1974, Rahel Tewelde, has been studying in Asmara. In 2003, she wrote and directed her first film, broadcast at the Erythrean TV, "Hid'get" - "Forgiveness". In 2006, she wrote and directed her second film Shikorinatat (The Beautiful Ones). In 2004, she translated "Casablanca" by Michael Curtiz in Tigrinya, Erythrean national language.
