Algerian filmmaker and actor.
Okacha Touita graduated from the Institut de formation cinématographique (Paris) and apprenticed as an assistant director before embarking on his own directorial career. Selected films: Classe normale (1976), Rue Tartarin (1980), Les Sacrifiés (1982, Prix Georges Sadoul and Mention du jury in Cannes), LE RESCAPÉ (1986), LE CRI DES HOMMES (1990), MORITURI (2007) and MAILLOT OPERATION (2015).
