Mikael Lubtchansky was born near Paris on February 25, 1972.
French and american nationalities.
He developed a fascination with analog and digital image-making in his childhood, and he has been exploring various aspects of documentary filmmaking ever since. Lubtchansky got his start as a second camera assistant in 1993 after graduating from l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière. As a cinematographer and editor, he has worked on documentaries for the Arte and France 5 television networks. epitaph* is his first personal project to be screened in public.
