Tunisian-American screenwriter, film director and producer.
Meryam JOOBEUR is a Tunisian-American screenwriter/director based in Montréal, Canada. She is a graduate of Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal. There, she made her first documentary, Gods, Weeds and Revolutions (2012) exploring memory through Alzheimer's and the Tunisian revolution was screened internationally, winning multiple awards including Best Canadian Documentary at the DOXA Documentary Film Festival. Her first short narrative, Née dans la tourmente / Born in the Maelstrom (2017) was screened internationally and won many awards. Her second short drama, Brotherhood, World premiered and won Best Canadian Short at TIFF 2018 and was awarded Golden Tanit at Carthage Film Festival 2018. She is currently developing three feature films including the feature version of Brotherhood and Roman Ruins. Meryam has participated in the Producer's Network of the Carthage International Film Festival, Berlinale Talent Lab, TIFF Talent Lab and the Rawi Screenwriters Lab.

كاتبــة ســيناريوو مخرجــة. متخرجــة من مدرســة ميل وبينهايــم للســينما فــي مونريــال،أين أخرجت فيلمها الوثائقــي األول "اآللهــة، المخــدرات و الثــورة" و الــذي تحصل على العديد من الجوائز. "إخوان" فيلمها الثاني قــدم عرضــه األول فــي مهرجــان تورونتــو.2018
