Pumpernickel Films is a French Independent Film and Television production company based in Paris and New York.

The company has been created by Christoph Jörg in February 2009.

Pumpernickel Films specializes in producing and executive producing documentary features. Through well founded business relationships and a commitment to talent and team effort, we produce high quality docs and factual entertainment programming for a range of media.

Pumpernickel Films secures financing, builds distribution strategies and creatively develops films with an eye toward maximizing the position of each project in the domestic and international markets.


Christoph Jörg is a documentary producer based in Paris and New York. From 1994 to 2008, he was a Senior Commissioning Editor for Documentaries at Arte. He has worked with filmmakers from around the world and commissioned over 700 documentaries, which have won more than 80 awards.
