Hot Sun Films is an award-winning film/video production company based in Nairobi and in the Kibera slums both in Kenya. We maintain a presence in Oakland, California. Hot Sun Films taps new talents and tell stories from and about people seldom seen on screen. We make films to entertain, raise awareness and cause social transformation.

Through our non-profit arm, Hot Sun Foundation, we train and develop new talents amongst the youth and the children of the urban slums of Africa. Through Hot Sun Foundation, the children and the youth are telling their own stories and showing a new picture of urban Africa. They are revealing their talents to the world, and creating new role models from the slums.
