Can we talk about a democracy in a black African kingdom where hereditary kings succeed one another since centuries? Is it possible to have a cohabitation between monarchy and democracy? Through a journey at Foumban,in the West region of Cameroon, i explored the history of the kingdom of Bamun, in order to discover the monarchial democracy. From this journey in the most ancient and powerful kingdom of Cameroon, i dig up an old African tradition completely ignored by the new generation.
