Portrait of the Algerian singer Reinette l'Oranaise.

Reinette l'Oranaise, a Jew born in Algeria, is one of the big names in the Arab-Andalusian tradition. Blind since the age of two, she has forged a captivating and moving personality. In concert at the New Morning in Paris or in interviews, the Arab-Andalusian song diva recalls that music is her vital refuge against the tearing of exile.
