In 1954, the University of Leuven started building the interracial university of Lovanium on the Moamba plateau not far from Leopoldville. The film follows the building stages of the whole complex (professors' villas, students' dorms and faculty buildings). Teaching methods as well as facilities are also presented here: labs, workshops, leisure centres and the canteen.

La película sigue la construcción del centro (chalets para los profesores, dormitorios para los estudiantes, aulas). También describe el tipo de enseñanza que se impartía y las infraestructuras previstas (laboratorios, talleres, salas de ocio y comedores).
