The images of African immigrants that we receive are always those of homeless people, most of them living in the streets and unable to cope with life in the host country. Assita Kanko, immigrated to Belgium for 8 years is the opposite case. She is the symbol of very successful immigration in light of her ability to adapt to her host society. With a fighting spirit, she embodies the aspiration of host societies concerning immigration.
