Amen and Soentjie, two tramps, are confronted with the harsh realities of the street. In their daily struggle for survival, they overcome their misery thanks to the humour and tenacious courage that the years have given them. Gentle and philosophical, Amen compares the foundation of his being to nature and the elements.
