The works of the painter Pat Andréa are cinematographic because they tell a multitude of stories using images. His paintings are the stage for an imaginary mythological theatre built on a multiplicity of cultures - definitively mixed raced. The film tells the story of a painting, from the time of the first sketch to the moment it leaves the artist's studio and is sold at a major showing in Amsterdam. We follow the artist's life for three months. During this time, the work is constructed and deconstructed. The work does not just appear; it resists the artist who engages in a continuous struggle for balance until the painting is completed.
