In 1994, the genocide of Tutsis by Hutus tore Rwanda apart, leaving behind indelible trauma. At a time when the state is advocating national reconciliation by force, a new generation is coming of age. They are sons or daughters of victims or genocidaires, they share the same school benches and have grown up in the shadow of their parents' silences. They tell us the weight of this heritage. Their names are Julien, Jean, Ange, Serge, François and Assumpta. They are between 16 and 25 years old and embody this new Rwandan generation that was born with a genocide in its heritage.
