Fifteen years after having been kidnapped by his French mother, Mehdi, now in his early twenties, returns to Morocco to see his father Aziz. The young man; half-French, half-Moroccan; tries to gets to know the country of his birth. He meets a young Moroccan woman and begins to spend much less time at home with his father. Aziz is increasingly concerned about this relationship, and father and son argue more and more frequently. After a particularly heated discussion, Mehdi walks out and doesn't come back in the evening. Aziz's worst nightmare begins.
