In Nouakchott, the singer Malouma is a star, respected both for her music and her political standpoint. Coming from a family of griots, she deviates from the tradition by tackling taboos subjects in Mauritania. Her free word brought her the censure during years, pushing her to export her music on the stages in the whole world. Introduced by an extract in concert filmed during the festival of Mixed-style Musics in Angouleme, the film follows the true first tour of Malouma within her own country and makes us discover the enthusiasm of the public for her music.
