I am part of the Kali'na people, I grew up on the banks of the Maroni River. I have chosen to pass on what little I have learned in this world.

My journey to Talwakem ("the one who reflects" in Wayana) was a quest where I was searching for my identity. I am a member of the Kali'na people, I grew up on the banks of the Maroni River. I have chosen to dissect my mind, to expose my quest to transmit in turn what little I have learned in this world. From Yalimapo beach, the place where my people first met the Europeans, to Tumuc Humac, which remains the home of Kaïlawa, a great Wayana warrior. A journey that highlights our connection to these lands. In the search for my identity, I will thus address the essential questions of the current social and economic situation.
