Petits aigles (Les) | Little eagles - النّسور الصّغيرة

The filmmaker is convinced that his relationship with his father who has always belittled him has weakened his self-esteem. When he meets a young man and a girl, he discovers they both have what he lacks : (selfconfidence). He decides to dive into the history of his father, a modest worker, and into the past of the two young people's fathers, both leftist in the seventies. While reviewing the history of these characters, the filmmaker relates the events that shaped Egypt from 1952 up till 2014.

Mohamed Rashad's LITTLE EAGLES examines his relationship with his father, a blue-collar worker, who is not proud of his son's choices. Rashad does not look up to his father either and wishes that he was the son of a man he could be have been inspired by. He wishes instead that he could have been the son of either Said or Mahmoud, leftist activists who were striving towards a cause in the 1970s.

Statement of intent
The situation in Egypt reached such a state of complexity that I felt more than just monitoring or observing was needed. It was crucial to analyze it in detail. I realized that what we were going through was the result of many accumulations, involving many parties, governments, with the participation of the opposition and the people themselves. So it was a must to knock on all doors and hear their testimonies and analyze them.

يرى مخرج الفيلم انه يفتقد ثقته بنفسه بسبب علاقته بوالده، والذي يعتقد بأنه غير راض عنه، وعندما يقابل شابا وفتاة في مثل عمره تقريباً، ويجد فيهما ما يفتقده في نفسه -الثقة في النفس-، يقرر ان يغوص في تاريخ والده العامل البسيط، وكذلك في تاريخ والدي الشاب والفتاة اللذين يعتبران من يساري فترة سبعينات القرن الماضي، ومن خلال تاريخ الشخصيات يستعرض مخرج الفيلم تاريخ مصر منذ 1952 ختى.2014
